Kombi-Express Ltd. is a wholly Hungarian-owned company established in 2001. The firm generated sales revenues of 2.3 billion HUF in 2019, with a headcount of 90 employees. It primarily performs freight transportation and complex logistics activities in Hungary. Its road transportation services cover the whole of Europe.
The company is continuously expanding its services, based on contracts concluded with airlines and general sales agents. A permanent branch office has been operating at Frankfurt Airport since 2006, where contracts with local and international companies and brokers ensure successful operation.
The air cargo handling activities was started in the year 2003 and in 2017 became a ground-handling organisation approved by the Aviation Authority of the National Development Agency. Currently the company posesses 600 plus 200 square meter off-airport warehouse right next to Liszt Ferenc Budapest Airport. Supplying RFS export- and import cargo handling for Emirates, Cathay Pacific, Eva Air and China Airlines. Got experiences in special cargo handling like DG, VAL, AVI, PER or Mail. Purchased and built up the cargo screening with XRY and EDD.
In 2017, the company became a ground handler approved by the Ministry of National Development Office for Air Transport. It currently has warehouse capacities of 600 m2 and 200 m2 of temporary storage facilities in Vecsés, as well as another 500 m2 of temporary storage facilities in the BUD Cargo City. The company’s portfolio includes the full range of warehousing activities (including the handling of special goods), general warehousing and storage services, preliminary cargo assembly and storage. Currently, the largest partners with export and import air cargo handling contracts are Cathay Pacific, Eva Air, China Airlines, etc.
The company has its own temporary storage facilities and authorised consignee status. In 2017, it acquired TC33 customs guarantees to a value of 1.1 billion HUF.
The company received authorized economic operator (AEO) status in 2010, based on which the customs authority considers it a reliable customer. AEO status enables the company to provide more flexible and faster administration for its customers, compared to its competitors, for the following activities: customs administration, the transportation and handling of customs goods. Since 2016, the company has managed to obtain the highest level of AEO authorisation, AEO F (full).
In line with increased demand in Hungary and abroad, the company had to expand its goods vehicle fleet continuously, which currently consists of 65 vehicles,

The vehicles include semitrailer trucks with a refrigerator superstructure, refrigerator semitrailer trucks fitted with rollers and refrigerator vans. In addition to food logistics, the company’s other popular domestic service is the transportation of containers between railway terminals and clients’ premises.
In the summer of 2012 the company started to provide contracted RFS Chartering services to Jan De Rijk international road freight company with Kombi Group truck fleet, drivers and carries out freight forwarding activities with platform semitrailers owned by the customer.
In 2008, Kombi-Express Ltd. launched a new activity. It provides distribution within Hungary for the outlets of one of the largest international supermarket chains, from opening in Hungary to the present day. Twenty-three 24-ton semi-trailer trucks perform freight transportation between the company headquarters and the shops, on a daily basis.
In 2012, the company expanded its service portfolio by opening a freight and passenger vehicle servicing workshop, and then in 2014 by commencing the sale of vehicle tires. Since 2013, the facility also performs vehicle diagnostics, and, still in the same year, received authorised tachograph installation workshop status from the Ministry of National Development Transport Authority, whereby clients are able to utilise this service.

In 2012, the company acquired regulated agent status, whereby it is entitled to implement aviation security controls and handling, for identifiable air cargo of its own and of its clients. Air cargo handled by the organisation can be loaded into the cargo holds of flights operating to and from EU airports without additional inspections being necessary. Further developing its regulated agent activities, the company became a ground handling agent approved by the Ministry of National Development Office For Air Transport in 2017.

In 2010, the company obtained an AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) registration and it certifies that the company is regarded to be a reliable customer in terms of customs clearance, cargo forwarding and cargo handling by Customs Authorities. This certification entitles the company for numerous benefits - increasing customer satisfaction - resulting in more flexible and faster administration compared to non-certified competitors. The company in 2016 received the highest level AEO F (full) qualification.
